The Changing Room
Audience Response – 3 April 2011
at the T. Schreiber Studio & Theatre

FLATIRON, MANHATTAN. After we met stage manager, @misslizrichards, at 2AM Theatre‘s “Tweet-Up“at The Public Theater, she invited The Orange Hats to archive the show she was currently working on: The Changing Room at the T. Schreiber Studio & Theatre.

The Orange Hats showed up for a 3PM Sunday matinee, the closing performance of the run, and an atypical viewing time for us.  (Usually we see shows in the middle of their runs in the evening.)

After the show, people were usually willing to speak about what they had just seen. We had a small 2 person line at one point which made me wonder if people were especially eager, or if someone was helping to direct their attention to our team. Perhaps a bit of both.

We talked to friends of the cast, supporters of the T. Schreiber Studio, and several people returning for their second (or fifth!) time. We also recorded a higher number of audience members over thirty than usual.
